Thank you, to all who participated in the 5th Pennsylvania Math League Exam held on Tuesday, February 14th. Congratulations to the following high scorers in each class. Freshman: Sophia Stynchula. Sophomores: Lauren Sigut and Joyce Yin. Junior: Matthew Byrd. And Seniors: Anna Hu and Yizhe Liu. The 6th and final Pennsylvania Math League Exam for this year will be held on Tuesday, March 14th.

C3: The Pennsylvania Governor's School for Global and International Studies at the the University of Pittsburgh is now taking applications for sophomores and juniors. This program is designed for students to build cultural understanding, intellectual confidence, and critical language proficiency. All accepted students receive a full scholarship covering tuition, room, board, instructional materials and program activities. The application deadline is March 1. Please stop by the 11/12 office for more information.

C1: German club will host the badminton tournament, battle of the languages on Friday, February 24 in the auxiliary gym. Sign in procedures start at 3:30 and the event will end at approximately 6:30. The cost is $10 for a team of two. Some of the registration money will be donated to Animal friends of Westmoreland in Greensburg. The deadline to sign up is today. Please contact Herr Kiefer or any of the other foreign language teachers to sign up!

C3: Today is the final day to register for PolarPalooza. Please be aware that teams must have the forms and money from all team members in order to register. Absolutely no registrations will be accepted after today. All team captains are reminded that there will be a mandatory captains meeting on Tuesday, February 28 at 2:30 in C106. All teams must be represented at the meeting in order to participate in the event. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Marker or Mrs. Houck.

C1: Attention Seniors and Juniors: If you would like to be a 6th grade camp counselor, applications are available in the 11/12 office. Counselors are needed in the following areas: General Group counselors, Certified Lifeguards, Rifle and Archery, Art, and Fishing. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 28. If you are interested, do not delay in completing and turning in your application. Available spots will fill fast.

C1: Do you know a young lady in need of prom attire? The non-profit organization, Angela's Angels, has been providing prom and special occasion wear free to young ladies who may not be able to afford it. They have a huge selection of new and gently worn, up to date dresses and accessories to choose from and are always discrete and respectful. In honor of their 10 year anniversary, they are holding a prom fair and gown sale to accommodate all princesses. All dresses will be cash and carry, by appointment only, and are only $25 each. C3: Congratulations to the lettermen's club athlete of the week, junior Taylor Miller. In the past two weeks Taylor had the best diving performances of her career. She started by winning the WCCA Championship in Diving last Friday night. Taylor followed up her championship finish by putting up the two highest dual meet diving scores in Latrobe history. She set a new Latrobe school record with score of 320.80. Congratulations Taylor!
