U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending flexibilities to allow free meals to continue to be available to all children throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year! This unprecedented move is part of USDA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring all children across America have access to nutritious food as the nation recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
One free breakfast meal and one free lunch meal per student per day. Students must choose a fruit OR vegetable to make their breakfast or lunch a MEAL. NO paperwork necessary. This applies to ALL students- in school or online!  Students will need money on their account for any a la carte purchases that are in addition to the free meal (this includes milk for students who pack their lunch).  A la carte items may include but are not limited to bottled water, iced tea, extra entrees or sandwiches, ice cream, extra french fries, bagged chips or snacks.
