Mr. Roberts

Mr. Roberts is entering his 17th year in public education, and his 11th at Latrobe.  He graduated from Grove City College with a degree in Biology and Secondary Science education and received his master's degree in education from McDaniel College in Maryland.  His first teaching position was teaching biology at Jamestown High School in Mercer County, PA.  After 3 years and acquiring tenure in Pennsylvania he moved near Washington, D.C. and taught biology and horticulture at Thomas Wootton High School in Rockville, MD.  Deciding to come back "Home" to PA he served an internship at the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy as a watershed technician for 9 months before being hired to teach Science 7 at Latrobe.  In the summers Mr. Roberts works as a research scientist studying amphibian, reptile, and macroinvertebrate species across Pennsylvania. 

His interests include fishing, sports, hunting, basic construction, camping, computers, environmental conservation, and many others.
