Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are writing to inform you about a new state law, Act 47 of 2025, that changes requirements for students who are enrolled in cyber charter schools but live in the Greater Latrobe School District attendance area.

Under Act 47, families must now verify their home address with both their cyber charter school and their local school district twice each school year. This verification helps ensure that your child is correctly linked to the school district where you reside and that funding is calculated accurately.

For the current school year, families must submit residency verification by March 20, 2026. Beginning next school year, verification will be required by November 1 and March 1 of each year.

To complete this process, please:

Fill out the state’s Cyber Charter School Enrollment and Residency Verification Form (Act 47 form).
Provide proof of residency for your household, such as:
- An active residential lease agreement or a mortgage agreement/statement no more than three months old.
- A bank statement no more than three months old.
- A tax bill no more than three months old.
- An insurance document no more than three months old.
- A valid vehicle registration.
- A valid driver’s license or Pennsylvania Department of Transportation identification card.
- A piece of mail sent by the federal or state government, such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents.
Submit the completed form and a copy of your proof of residency to both:
- Your child’s cyber charter school, and
- Greater Latrobe School District, to the attention of:

If you have already provided this information to your cyber charter school, you must still send a copy to the Greater Latrobe School District so we can confirm your residency as required by state law.
