PolarPalooza 2019 Set for March 8th
PolarPalooza 2019 is set for Friday, March 8th from 2:00-8:30 at the senior high school. Thanks to our sponsors, student volunteers, and chaperones, last year's PolarPalooza was a huge success, but this year hopes to be the largest event in its eight-year history! We've increased the number of teams to 49, which will result in nearly 400 competitors!
Last year, 224 GLSHS students formed 28 teams to compete in activities such as volleyball, badminton, basketball, indoor soccer, dodge ball, spike ball, Just Dance 2, MarioKart, ping pong, corn hole, and karaoke. Plinko and a prize wheel also allowed participants to accumulate more points for their teams and win prizes throughout the night.
This year you can choose whether you'd like to form a team of six OR eight players. If your team has six players, you must have at least three players who are juniors or seniors to register the first two days. If your team has eight players, you must have at least four players who are juniors or seniors to register the first two days.
Registration will take place all day (7:00 AM-2:30 PM) in these locations on the following dates:
February 12 & 13 in C107: senior and junior teams*
February 18, 19, & 20 in H107: sophomore and freshman (and remaining senior and junior) teams
*in order to be considered a senior or junior team, at least three team members must be seniors or juniors
Cost is $15.00/person, and all payments and forms are due at the time of registration. Cost includes registration, pizza, a water, entertainment, and a favor.
