Digital Citizenship

The GLSD Librarians are committed to teaching their students to be effective creators and consumers of information and media in the 21st-century; in fact, they have repeatedly earned the District Recognition from Common Sense Education for their efforts in the elementary, middle, and high schools.

Students must be able to make ethical and safe decisions while completing activities online. Our schools will help students develop decision-making skills related to:
  • copyright and fair use
  • personal responsibility
  • respect for fellow citizens
  • safety and security
  • personal reputation

As part of these efforts, we will utilize the Digital Citizenship Curriculum
available from Common Sense Education. You can learn more about this curriculum and the organization by visiting https://www.commonsensemedia.org/educators

Please do not post database, eBook, or other digital resource usernames or passwords online, display them in any way, give them to anyone other than current students at the building that supplies the given resource(s).

Remember to follow and respect copyright laws and guidelines!  Ask for help if you need it.
