In honor of the 2024 Remake Learning Days community festival, this year we are hosting two separate and different "Try It Out Tech Event" nights and a L.E.A.P. INTO SUMMER Event. These events are in place of the Summer Makeathon.
The GLSD Try It Out Tech Events are being held at Latrobe Elementary School with Night #1 on Tuesday, May 14 from 5:00-6:30 pm and Night #2 on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:00-6:30. At the Try It Out Tech Events students in grades 2-5 will team with their families to investigate with technology and create solutions to challenges. Each grade level will investigate a different technological tool, and Night #2 is a different experience for each grade level than Night #1.
The L.E.A.P. INTO SUMMER Event will be Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 10:00am-11:30am at Baggaley Elementary School. Current Kindergarten and First Grade students are invited to join us for a morning of enriching free play. Explore the benefits of the Learning Expanded Through Active Play (L.E.A.P). program and kick off summer with a morning of outdoor free play.
During the events, each student must have a separate accompanying adult (or two).
