Beginning April 5th, the gymnasium will be temporarily closed during afternoon and evening hours due to roof work. This is necessary to ensure safety while construction is taking place overhead.

Morning physical education classes will continue as scheduled unless otherwise noted. We appreciate your understanding as we complete these improvements and will provide updates as the project progresses.

Facility Improvement Notice

The Greater Latrobe School District is actively upgrading its facilities through key construction and maintenance projects at the Junior High School. We acknowledge that these activities may occasionally cause construction dust or leaks. Our dedicated contractors, maintenance team, and custodial staff respond quickly to address and resolve such issues, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and work closely to keep temporary roof construction connections watertight.

Examples of current measures include:

• Plastic drip pans are placed above ceilings in specific areas to catch minor leaks and protect ceiling tiles and the spaces below.
• Larger leaks often necessitate removing ceiling tiles and using floor-level buckets or cans.
• District staff track leak locations after weather events and promptly empty inspected pans, as this remains an ongoing management practice rather than a one-time fix.
