Advanced Placement Options
Students who choose a schedule that includes a blended learning environment will be able to select from 15 Advanced Placement courses.
 
World Language Lab
In the World Language Lab, students can practice language skills such as listening, speaking, and reading by using the computer programs and/or lab exercises assigned by the teacher. World Language computer programs are available for Chinese, French, German, and Spanish.
 
Capstone Program
Since its inception in 1994, the Capstone Program has grown and inspired the creation of additional classes, programs, partnerships, and projects that focus on real-life and hands-on environmental education. The District will continue to expand environmental programs in future years.
 
College in High School
The College in High School Programs is sponsored by Mount Aloysius College and Penn Highlands Community College. The program allows students to earn college credits and a transcript from Mount Aloysius College and Penn Highlands Community College, while taking classes at Greater Latrobe High School. The College in the High School classes have a minimal tuition fee.
 
Vocational Technical Programs
Through a partnership with the Eastern Westmoreland Career and Technical Center, students have the opportunity to learn state-of-the-art technology, trade skills, and employability skills. EWCTC offers 16 industry and skill-based programs.
 
Guidance Services
Students and families will be able to take advantage of career and college planning by participating in assemblies, programs, career and scheduling fairs, onsite visits from college and university representatives and from military personnel.
 
Fitness Facilities
Greater Latrobe Senior High School offers a state-of-the-art fitness center. These centers offer students cardio-equipment (ellipticals, treadmills, and spinning bikes), free weights, weight machines, and various other equipment. Students have access to this facility after school.
 
Planetarium
Located in the Senior High School, the planetarium features a 30 ft dome filled with an accurate replica of the night sky.  In addition to the night time star field, various projectors allow for astronomical measurements,image analysis and video observations of various scientific concepts.  Here, students will learn about celestial movements, constellations and a wide variety of Astronomical objects.
 
Center for Student Creativity
Located at the Senior High School, the Center for Student Creativity (CSC) is a modern complex that fosters integration of the arts into all aspects of curricular and extracurricular activities. The space hosts various events for up to 200 people. The CSC has a movable stage, special exhibit lighting, wooden flooring, mirrored wall, light-controlled window coverings, videoconferencing capabilities and an outside amphitheater with a courtyard.
