Wellness

The Greater Latrobe School District (GLSD) recognizes that student wellness and proper nutrition are related to students’ physical well-being, growth, development, and readiness to learn.  In a healthy school environment, students will learn about and participate in positive dietary and lifestyle practices that can improve student achievement.

An assessment of GLSD school wellness policy must be conducted a minimum of once every three years. The results of the assessment are posted above.

Wellness Committee Meeting

A school wellness committee is an action-oriented advisory group that focuses on the health and well-being of students, staff, and families in a school community. The school wellness committee implements the district wellness policy and leads other health-related initiatives.

All meetings are tentatively held in the Senior High Library classroom at 10 AM. Check back for updates.
